This is a Springfield M1 Garand (CMP Service Grade). It is in very good condition with nice tight bore bore. The stock is a Boyds replacement stock from the CMP. I have never fired this rifle. Overall, this is a very nice looking rifle.

I am asking $650 FTF. I live in the Gonzales area. If you have any questions, feel free to PM or email. I have more photos of the rifle if you want them.

    Thanks for looking!

5 minute sale.. Go Steve go!

I like that stock.. I may have to look into them at CMP. Mine is real dark and full of cosmoline.

UPDATE: If anyone is wondering, a Black Walnut replacement stock with metal is $149.99 at CMP.

If LPS doesn't want it, let me know if you are interested, and I'll put you in line. I have a couple of M1 carbines coming in a few minutes...Std Products Service Grade and Inland - Import.

    LSP,

You did good. The gun looks like a mid 60s rebuild. These were some of the better rifles to come out of CMP. Some of those have either not been fired or have been fired little since the rebuild. The mid 60s Springfield barrels were very good. Personally, I would look around for a Springfield DAS stock (what it came with originally). They are not too difficult to find. However, the Boyd's should have a tight lock-up which is a necessary component for accuracy. This rifle should be a really good shooter. Congrats.

    Dan

    PS Don't sell this one.
