    Thats a great deal on the AK74 and ammo. THats 1080 Rounds in the can correct ?

    When ever I get a chance to push 5.45x39 I have to.
    I jumped the fence a few months back and started shooting 5.45, first because of the price.
    Now, I am 100% into the 5.45 round. Shoots flatter, and I do believe the long skinny bullet has many advantages over the 5.56.

    The best thing to clean the corrosive ammo is:
    I purchased a large rectangle storage bin from Walmart. A little bit of Dawn dish liquid, and some soft cleaning brushes. Also have different size paint
    brushes. Honestly , the corrosive ammo cleans up faster [ takes less than 1/2 the time ] with soap and water.
    Compressed air to dry. And for lube, I use Royal purple synthetic gear oil.
    I have 3 small hobby paint brushes. 1-2 dips in the oil goes a LONG way.

    so there you have it, the cons are :
    Corrosive yes. Its best clean the same day after shooting.
    I have waited till the next day, and guess what, NO big deal at all.

    Pros :
    1/3 cost ammo. and the Russian surplus ammo is NO JOKE.
    Clean up time honestly takes me 5 minutes max per rifle.
    Soap and water cleanup.
    Top secret lube is Royal purple synthetic gear oil. 1 bottle will probably last me a "LIFETIME"

    Am I a cheerleader or what !
