How does it stack up against the enhanced?

Anyone actually handle one? Shoot with one?

At $58, it sounds like a nice deal.

I'm curious to try one but I've never even seen one in stock anywhere. Basically just a Sopmod sans battery storage. The B5 Sopmod is solid so I would expect these to be as well.

Personally I'll stick with the Sopmods but these would be great for a rifle where weight or budget were the prime concern.

I have a RRA lower with the operator stock that I love.

I just put together a PSA lower and ended up getting the B5 enhanced stock (http://www.brownells.com/rifle-part...nhanced-ar-15-m16-sopmod-stock-prod45294.aspx) and it's pretty damn awesome too. Very comfortable cheek weld, no tight spots for my beard to get stuck in, I have no complaints. I can tell it's rough around the edges a bit like some parts are sharp to the touch but nothing a little sandpaper won't fix.

    Ah, got it now.

While we're on the subject. I'm looking for a new carbine length hanguard that's compatible with an FSB. The stock M4 is kind of boring, Magpul MOE is "meh," and quad rail is overkill. Any other suggestions? Not trying to break the bank, here.

Based on your needs, the MOE is the best/easiest/cheapest option. If you want something cooler, but not a quad rail (in total agreement there), Troy has a couple tube options.

They make a 7.2" Alpha, which requires removing the FSB to install.

And their new Delta rail, which is a 2-piece drop-in version of their Alpha rail. Good reviews so far, only thing that bugs me is the "connector" rail on the bottom.

Although not terribly cheap and IF you wanna shave a gas block pretty drastically.....it was easy with a dremel: MI SS Gen 2? Check out my most recent build. 5.6 lbs unloaded/no optic. Complete poly lower(NFA), and a 16" delton/PSA pencil-mid upper.

Come on man I was working up to that strategically and you just ram it in there all willy nilly.

Oddly enough, that's exactly what my ex told me before she kicked me out of the house. (Yes, the "Mossy Hump").

Are there any problems associated with grinding down the FSB? I'm not necessarily opposed to it.

    :D

Not at all. In fact, a shaved FSB is THE best low profile gas block money can buy, and it's free. While other gas blocks are clamped or held on with set screws, the FSB is already properly aligned and pinned. It will always go back on right where it's supposed to, and I'll take pins over screws any day.

I have 2 that were sent to me for T/E I like them a lot. The shirt with the aztec warrior was also a nice little surprise from them.

its a great stock for the price, the ones I received were the Foliage Green version (almost Gray). Mark told me they just offloaded a bunch of blacks and FDE's are currently being produced and should be on shelves within 10 days.

First time I tried one was on the BCM Jack and liked it a lot, the padding in the back is pretty thick and comfortable, the stock is easy to operate and wallet friendly.
