I finally had a chance to see a few more videos and get more background story of the situation. I am typically critical of police action because I believe they hold alot of power and should be held to a very high level of professionalism. That being said, unless something crazy comes out, these officers acted 100% reasonably. I feel bad for the **** show they are about to have to endure. I wish them the best.

    I feel the same way....

Also I'm watching all the protest, and talking about not judging a man by his past (a lengthy 20 year long arrest record, drugs, gun charges, resisting arrest, domestic abuse, child molestation) but by the impact he had on others lives.... What impact? The kids he wasn't raising since he was living in a shelter? The girlfriends he beat up? the people he ripped off with knock off media?

I agree, I have followed this pretty close since yesterday morning. I see it as a justifiable shooting with everything I've seen so far. the cop didnt have to dig in his pocket to get the pistol out, which means he more than likely had it in his hand and was about to draw it on the officers... If that is the way the feds rule it though is when things go bad here. Black lives matter supporters will not be happy it goes that way!

I love the way the article presented that. He sold CD's. He must have owned a music store! He was probably a member of the Baton Rouge Rotary even.

He sold bootleg movies on a corner, which is a criminal activity. He wasn't selling crack, but... don't make him something he's not.

I'm going to have to call BS on that. When was the last time anyone here purchased a CD from a random stranger off the street? I can't think of any time in my life where that ever happened...

From my understanding, selling CDs on the street is just another way to sell drugs. People in the "know" will know they have drugs and approach them in public for the CDs. Drugs can be kept in the DVD boxes etc, and money is exchanged. They will also sell bootleg movies, but that's chump change to the "real" operation.

500 listeners currently on the East Baton Rouge channel on the 5-0 Radio app,

That's much more than the usual night...

It say you're listening to Broadcasting Baton Rouge Police Department in 4 districts. East Baton Rouge Sheriffs Department has 2 districts. A third channel is an ALTERNATE Dispatch.
It's scanning and you would miss a lot of traffic. 207 listening now

I don't mean to thread jack but here we go with this ******** again...

    http://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2016/07/06/police-officer-involved-shooting-in-falcon-heights/

The very last line in the article,

"They shot him four times. He has a license to carry. We had a busted tail light. And we had some weed in the car that’s about it."

Surprised they even put that little tidbit in the story. Maybe someone was pulling out more than a wallet because he didn't want to be caught with weed while carrying a gun with a juvenile in the vehicle?? Who knows.....

A conceal and carry license? Well, I mean... I'm glad that license let's you do both

Busted tail light... Weed in the car... But it's ok, because he has his conceal and carry license.

Wife says they are planning to protest at the mall of Louisiana. What the hell does the mall have to do with any of this? Must be hoping a riot and looting breaks out there since there ain't much to loot near scene.

All I heard is that they were going to boycott the MOL... Protest is Sunday at the BRPD station on plank road.
