I wonder why he did not cooperate from the beginning? Probably could have shown his ID/badge and gone on his way.

Nice that a shoplifter can work for ATF.

I remember this a couple years ago. I guess it’s getting more play time with the recent ATF junk going on. Here’s something more important in my opinion:

Something tells me we will see an uptick in the percentage of denials.
I do not agree though, when he says, "this is Joe Biden, this is the democrats" (paraphrasing). No, this is the system as a whole. The beloved Republicans, that so many gun owners grovel to, what did they do for the 2A? 4 years of owning all 3 branches of the federal government and what did we get? Bump stock bans? More import bans?

The biggest 2A positive that we have gotten in a very long time is these recent supreme court decisions and we still don't know for sure how all that is even going to play out.

ATF shows up without a warrant so the homeowner called the police.
And therein lies the lesson! Anyone coming to my door professing to be from a federal agency that just wants a peek will get the same treatment. I’ll just tell them over the door cam to give me a few minutes to find what they want and call my local Sheriff department and hope the fed will act a fool for them.

The best thing to understand is when you are approached by an officer is that the officer is in charge. Be polite and comply with their instructions even if they are wrong. If they are in error, take it up with an attorney later.

The agent should have been trained how to handle this situation. He should have put his weapon on the ground, put his hands on his head and told the officer where his ID was. The officer would have quickly determined that he was an agent and they could have resolved the situation peacefully.

What he did was cop an attitude and then the officers showed him who was in charge.

I was stopped for a minor traffic violation and I informed the officer that I had a carry permit and that I had a firearm on me and I asked him how he wanted to proceed. He said just keep the firearm where it was. During the entire process, I remained polite to the officer. He let me go with a warning.

If I had copped an attitude or resisted the officer, I could have been hurt or put in jail.

You will always have a better outcome if you do what the officer asks.
