Was shooting at Range USA last weekend and shotguns and rifles and noise was very very loud. Is there any indoor or outdoor ranges in Baton Rouge area that segregates pistols and long guns. Thanks

FRC does to a degree, but not 100%.

Have you tried wearing ear-plugs under your over-ear protection?

With all the short-barrelled toys going BANG at my favorite indoor range (Bayou Dragon in Crown Point) lately, I absolutely endorse using ear plugs under your external noise protection. And now that they're opening at 11:00am on Fridays, I will try that time period to further avoid the weekend hordes. Protect your hearing, at all costs...

I recently visited my first indoor range. My ears were not happy. Wish you guys would have started this thread about a month ago.
I like the suggestion to use ear plugs under muffs. Thanks.

If only suppressors were affordable and easy to obtain without long waits and extortion…..should be included with every gun sold as an included accessory like a spare magazine.
Agreed, but even a suppressed AR is still loud AF at an indoor range.

double plug even at outdoor range esp when people are shooting big bore rifle with muzzle breaks that push the blast to the sides....just saying.

What? Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!! All I hear at night!
I've found white noise apps to be helpful in drowning out the constant ringing, at least at night while you're trying to sleep. Check out Relax Melodies app. My only option during the day was hearing aids that neutralize the ringing, but I declined those until I really need them.

My wife runs an upright fan next to her side of the bed at night, as I don't like the ceiling fan on all night. The noise it makes is strangely calming and helps mask my tinnitus.

I have a fan that runs pretty much 24/7. The only time I notice it is when it's off. If I have to stay in the hospital I bring one with me.

its a smidge out of the way, but iberville parish gun range is an excellent outdoor facility that has long guns on one range and pistols on another. friendly staff and well maintained.

Shooters club in Harahan/Elmwood, I know too far from Baton Rouge only allows 22 rifles, no AR pistols and only handguns, no shotguns, or even the caliber in a handgun like a Judge.

My wif has that “fan” thing also, she takes it everywhere she go.
