Remember that time that SA gave campaign donations to anti-gun politicians in hopes of carving out an exemption in anti-gun legislation at the expense of all other FFLs in Illinois ?

    Fun times.

Yea, . . . No SA firearms in my safe.
I have to agree then. Wouldn't buy these

How many employees work for SA? Of those, how many supported that? I don't think it's fair for others to suffer for what only a hand full did. I wonder what the foreign makers of all our electrics think.

Anyway, a double stack that is optics ready for $1500 sounds like a winner. I would like one in stainless in the future if they ever offer one.

I remember a few other big box pro 2a company’s making stupid or anti gun comments… Daniel defense, Remington, solgw, just to name a few… heck I’ve said some really stupid stuff… don’t believe me just ask my wife :mamoru: ….

With all that said… I’ll still stick with my staccato’s….. I wouldn’t mind the full size SA for range fun but SA needs to make a compact gram like the C2 or officer size frame with that commander top for cc

I think it’s a winner. It’s to bridge the gap between rock island and Sti and staccato not give those up for it
    right…. Bout like a

    Honda Civic SI
    Dodge Charger hellcat
    Ferrari/Lambo

Pick the level you are able to race in and stick with it, get good with it…

It's a good thing you brought that up, considering not one of these firearms are made in the U. S.

Yep. All of their forgings for the 1911's are made in Brazil. If it was assembled there, it'll have import markings. The higher end models are assembled in NM, and have a serial number to reflect this. They do have US employees. I'm sure those employees would have no difficulty finding work in this economy.

I agree, it should not be difficult to find work. But it probably will be difficult to find work in the same trades making at least the same wage in their same town as they do now. Not everyone wants to move their life all over the country to stay in the same trade. But hopefully their employees won't experience that happen since people like me who don't have selective patriotism will continue to support them. In the mean time, I hope all the pots calling the kettle black who don't support SA get rid of all their foreign made products in their home. If I see them no longer post here, I'll assunr they got rid of their phones and computers which is a nice start.

If Springfield is trying to build a handgun that will compete with the Staccato or some of the other 2011s they have a long way to go.
