Have the mueller apv on one of my 10-22's and am pretty pleased with it. Read a lot of reviews from owners before buying. Most rifle scopes have a 100yard parallex starting point. The mueller is at 50 which is ideal for the normal closer ranges of the .22.

Some of you may scoff at me but I bought a Simmons 22 Mag scope in 3-9X32 duplex. Dead accurate for years after dropping, banging around in my truck, kids shooting it. I mounted it on my 10/22 them moved it over to my Marlin 60. less than $50 from midway. It is brighter than my Nikon scope in a side by side comparison too. Why spend $2-300 on a rimfire rifle optic?? Just my .02 cents.
Ain’t no way I’m scoffing when I have one on a rifle and one on the shelf, lol. And you’re right, they do hold up well. I’ve had one on a Marlin 22mag bolt gun for over 10 years and that old gun is the ever ready catch all at my house.

Another suggestion is for the Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6-24x. It's a 30mm tube with side parallax. Got it for granddaughter's 10/22 for CMP Smallbore Rifle competition (25 & 50 yds) at 6x, then the ability to dial up to 24x for Smallbore Silhouette. $299 at ExpertVoice.

I thought I could edit my original post to add a photo, but evidently that option disappears after a certain length of time. Here's the photo of my Bushnell 2-7x AR/22. Has the side-parallax adjustment on a 1" tube and is a little more compact than the Vortex. Highly recommend for an inexpensive scope.

I like the Vortex stuff too. I built a rifle for my old boss a few years ago and he got that scope for his. Only thing I didn't like was it didn't have the fast focus eye piece. My 4-12X44 Crossfire II was only $169. My only regret was I wish I would have spent the additional $20 and got the A/O adjustable version.
