A new Model 3 is $40,390. They are direct to consumer, correct. There are no "local contracted shops" There are Tesla Service centers owned by Tesla only. The exception is heavy body work goes to certified body shops. Franks in Slidell, and Mercedes of New Orleans in Metairie. Where do you get this stuff ?

I read an article on line about them, which apparently was inaccurate. But you are WRONG on a new Model 3 price. I am on the Tesla website right now and the price is $49690 cash price, including the $1200 delivery fee, plus sales tax. So I have you ask you, where do you get this stuff?

No its not.. The "gas tank" is the battery. Your paying to have a "gas pump" at your house.

I still want to know what do you do if your EV runs out of power on the road. You know people have driven them til they are dead, trying to stretch it, get to that appointment. Or that next Supercharger. Worst case on the interstate in NOLA, at 2200.
Do you call for a jump? What do you do?

might be like jeep... they have free towing service when you buy one, kinda smart tactic, charge a little more for a jeep in hidden fees for a "free towing" membership but in turn never see a broken one on side of the road lol

Can I use a normal 120 volt outlet to charge?
You can use a NEMA 5-15 adapter for a 120 volt outlet. This provides approximately two to four miles of range per hour of charge depending on the car. For the best home charging experience, we recommend installing a Wall Connector.

They include a 110v outlet charger (I have heard they stopped including it, but no one can back that up). So I assume they include it.
Since its asked elsewhere, the 110v takes 2-3 days to charge the car from like 20%-80%
The home charger 240v takes 4.5 hr
The Supercharger network is between 25-40 min.

Around here I dont think any of the tow services are offering the plug in module to put juice in it on the side of the road. (using a portable generator is bull$hit and internet memes, the line voltage isnt stable enough and the car wont accept it). Some states have the side of the road charging with a tow company, beside that you will need a flatbed to take it to the nearest Supercharger, the Service Center, or your house. There is a Superchrger in Lake Charles, Baton Rouge, just about to open Covington, Metairie, and Slidell.

They might have stopped including the 110v one.
The wall connector (also called destination charger) is 240v and the fast version. And yes, you can use a dryer outlet with adapter and do the same with the mobile connector (The 110v unplugs and a 15-50 plugs in)

Nope, they specifically say if you run out of charge on the side of the road its on you. But its incredibly hard to do. The car takes everything into account on the drive if you use the map, from wind, humidity, traffic....everything, and tell you what your charge will be when you get to your destination. IF you drive like a retard the entire way and it calculates you will arrive with less than projected the car even tells you a specific MPH not to exceed to make sure you get there.

wonder if they will make something like the portable super booster/jumper for car battery's, but for telsa.. like hook it up and it will dump a portable battery to give you like 50 miles or somthing... kinda like a spare battery for you phone that will dump a charge in 1-3 mins

dont know bout yalls car but my brakes are pretty much free.. have over 240,000 miles on my dodge 4x4 and the first time i changed the brakes i bought autozone gold.. $47 and comes with lifetime brake pad replacment.. prob changed the brakes 5-7 times for free after the first set lol... most expensive thing i have done to that truck was 1-$200 battery and front wheel bearings, lol took longer to change the brakes then to change them... Id have to guess a telsa with the same miles and years would have cost alot more by now.. Just a what i would think though

Yeah, zero service visits, except tires and windshield wipers (even the brakes go well over 100k miles because they are rarely used) and the electricity conversion is basically 110mpg. Sure is a money pit (rolling eyes)
i would imagine these specs and quotes are as funny and reliable as the same petro vehicles that claim high mpg in new cars... Maybe if you drive like a grandmaw and dont have to sit in South LA traffic in NOLA or BR bridge lol
