Water is still over the bridge and out of it's banks as of Saturday afternoon. One of our RO's was out there today and said the gate was still locked to the road leading back to the range. He walked back and said the road was okay but he posted a photo in his email showing water still running...
As it appears the river will finally be down, this weekend (April 2-3) there is a scheduled cleanup of the range after the flooding with the plan to re-open the range the following weekend (April 8-10).
Have you tried Honey Island for clays? Range admission is $6/day; $3/box of shells; and 3 shooting positions with remote control incoming and outgoing machines. Don't need a truck to get in there. Oh, you need some sort of hunting/fishing license or WMA stamp to keep Dept of Wildlife happy.
So you didn't drop it off you mailed it. Actually hand carrying it to HQ is worth taking a vacation day when you consider the processing time you save. I hand carried mine in June, took about 45 minutes for processing, and received it in less than 2 months.
