      Free twin matress

I have a twin size mattress that I really have no use for. It is not the most comfortable thing, but i've seen worse. Free to anyone who wants it. You must be able to pick up in Bayou Blue. PM me if interested.

      Bullseye for 40 S&W

My Sig P226 loves 4.3gn of Bullseye under a 180gn lead bullet seated at 1.125". This is a fairly mild load, but I find accuracy tends to diminish if I load any hotter than this.

      WTB .45 brass

I'm looking to pick up some .45 ACP brass. I would like to buy about 1000 pieces, looking to spend about $40-$60. I have no real preference as to small or large pistol primer. PM me if you have some to sell. Houma area preferred, but I would consider paying for shipping if you are too...

      Bullet Molds... which one?

As far as casting speed goes, I use the Lee 6 cavities in .40 & .45 and can normally do one rep (6 bullets) in about 25 seconds if I really push it, normal speed is about 40 seconds. Keep a moist towel on your bench and press the bottom of the mold onto it for a few seconds ever 5-7 casting...

      Bullet failure.

What brand/lot number of primers were you using? Sounds like a hangfire to me. How do you prime? Is it possible the primers were contaminated in some way? Seems really unlikely that something on the ground hit the primer just right to set it off.

      Powder Source

I am pretty sure I saw a bottle of W231 at Houma auto parts last time I stopped by.

40s&w Bayou Bullet load data. Bullseye powder

Below is my load data for reference only as tested in a SIG P226. Brass was all Winchester once fired with CCI 500 primers. Bayou Bullet 180gn TC, 4.3gn Bullseye, 1.130 OAL, 989fps avg, SD of 8fps

      9mm 160g Billy/Bayou Bullet Data

In my experience, I have loaded Bayou Bullets with identical powder loads as I would load with the same weight cast lead bullet. I do get ever so slightly (less than 15fps diff in .40 cal) higher fps with Bayou Bullets, but it is so minimal that it may just be a coincidence. I haven't tried...

      Local source for 7.62x54

A few months ago I am pretty sure I saw some 7.62x54R 440 round spam cans at Jefferson Gun Outlet on David Dr. in Metairie.

      WTB 500 S&W revolver

I'm looking for a 500 s&w revolver, 8 3/8" barrel preferred, but will consider shorter if the price is right. Looking to spend about $750 or so, but would consider spending more. For the right price I could travel anywhere from Lafayette to New Orleans. Send me a PM or email at cberge8...

      WTB Mil-Spec 1911 .45

I was looking for the exact same thing recently, ended up buying a RIA 1911. IIR, I paid right at $450 for it. It shoots great, and I have not had a single problem with it.

      Crab trap tags

I had the same experience at first, with most trap retailers telling me only commercial crabbers needed them. If anyone is looking for some, Hebert Marine on Grand Calliou can order them for about 50 cents a piece. Just picked mine up and they look very well made and go on easy.

Found - WTB inexpensive GI spec 1911

I am looking to buy an inexpensive ($450 or less) GI spec 1911. Would prefer a FTF exchange in the Houma area, but don't mind traveling a little ways if you could meet this weekend. Round count not all that big of a deal, as long it has been well taken care of. I was planning on getting a...

      Crab trap tags

As far as I can tell they either have to be SS or "durable plastic". Seems like an odd combination to me, that is why I would really like to find some place that sells these specifically.

      Crab trap tags

Just got my crab trap gear license and am looking into buying some crab cages. The only question I have is where do you get LDWF approved crab trap tags? I would really like to get these in the Houma area (within 30 miles or so), as I would like to go crabbing within the next week or so...
