Read what I wrote... The legal drinking age was 21 but it was still legal to enter a bar at 18. You were allowed to be in the bar at 18 but the bar was not legally allowed to sell you alcohol. It put the onus on the bars to enforce the law which many of them refrained from worrying about.
Under the previous law one need only be 18 to enter a bar but the drinking age was still 21... But once you're inside the bar it was very difficult for the bar to regulate who was actually under 21, if they even cared enough to try. Hand stamps and ID checks at the bar were minimally effective...
The TS12, if utterly reliable, is definitely pretty damn tempting. Kind of heavy and unique manual of arms are about the only negatives I see... Very short OAL and a whole lot of firepower makes up for that IMHO.
Shotgun shells are plastic and can start to deform if left loaded in a stacked magazine... Oval shells don't feed very well.
The Soviets solved that issue with fully brass shells but I've never seen them for sale in the US.
If you don't plan to leave the mags loaded this is not an issue.
Either...
Sure, but there's a limited number of us out there... And by taking the class the holder should have at least been taught how to properly respond in a LEO encounter.
Or they just don't want the additional risk/complications added to every encounter...
Officer: Are you carrying a firearm?
Joe Schmoe: Yes I am! It's right here! (as he reaches for his pistol to show the officer)
It's a tough situation from both sides of the argument.
I also would not want to lose Reciprocity or skipping the NCIS but I also don't feel comfortable around a significant percentage of the people I've been in a CHP class with actually carrying in public, let alone allowing everyone to do...
I see how it works and it's a pretty damn smart idea. And if there's enough pretravel to ensure the firing pin safety is not pre-engaged the other two safeties should also work.
But I don't see myself putting it on a carry gun... It defeats the KISS principle that is a Glock's strongest feature.
At the risk of pointing out the obvious, KelTec has kind of built its bones on releasing products that nobody ask for, lol.
And to their credit, a lot of these unique designs have been pretty damn ingenious... Unfortunately their quality control has never matched up to their innovation.
