Thanks man. It is African blackwood. And the hardest wood I have ever worked. The pegs are purple heart. Similar species to mahogany. But no where this beast. I used my cabinets shop table saw to cut the relieve to accept the blade and I warped an armana blade. (Not the cheap home depot blades)...- Kuffaar

Rust on AK
Just put a good coat of oil on the entire rifle. I recommend 3 and 1 oil to stop the rust. If your going to spray paint it, I recommend masking off the bolt area. Sent from my LM-G820 using Tapatalk -
