Often left out in this topic is having an adequate scope. If your reticle lines cover most of the bullseye, you have a problem. For me, a 16x is minimum for a two-inch bullseye at 100 yards. At 300 yards I'll go 35x-40x. But that's just me.
I am the first and only owner of this laminated stock rifle with a detachable four-round box magazine. You can also feed rounds individually. It has no more than 200 rounds fired. There are a few small, superficial scratches in the laminated wood stock. The 26-inch fluted barrel is stainless...
The 1750 is an actively marketed case on the Pelican website or at the usual big box stores currently for $335. The rifle in the photo below is a Savage Model 12 with a 26" barrel and 46.5" overall length, to give you an idea if your gun will fit. By my measurements the interior is 50.5" long...

I think you're on the right track; if I were Governor I would sign it, but I still don't think open carry is, in most situations, is a good idea for our side. It scares a lot of people, and we need all the 2A supporters we can get. Plus, it can make you a target for bad guys who see you...
I really doubt that. I think no more than 20 percent would turn in a weapon. Even in Australia and New Zealand, a strong majority have not complied. In Australia, you can have a gun but you have to have a good reason. Self defense is specifically excluded by law.
