    What I think would make a lot of sense would be to move it 30 minutes back and leave it right there in the middle .

    The senate passed it. Now it has to clear the house and the president sign it. And it won't change until next year. They say it is to give the trains and airlines time to adjust their schedules. And it will stay like it is now.

    We already had a bill in Louisiana to do it, pending Federal approval...
    Why fed approval? Two states and several territories do not observe DST now. If the DST becomes permanent, what will we call "standard time" that AZ, HI and Puerto Rico will be on?

    I predict there will be a lot of complaining coming out in the winter 2023/24.

    I really don’t think so. I think most people are fed up with changing clocks twice a year for no good reason. Of course I’m sure some will complain but I think the number of people in favor of it will outweigh the one’s who aren’t.
