It's inevitable . This shooting incident was a gift to the gun grabbing left and they have wasted no time in exploiting it . Nothing tears at the hearts more than the murder of children and the attacks on guns and gun owners is gaining momentum by the hour . We all know what happens next . I think the first knee jerk reaction that we see will be certain major retailers curtailing the sale of ammo and guns . AR's and 5.56 ammo will be the first to take a hit along with 30 rd mags . People will panic buy and here we go again .

Turn it around. The gift should be ours. It should be pointed out on all fronts that the first and most important idea to the anti-gun crowd was the call to ban guns. Somewhere down the list of importance for them was the poor folks directly affected by this obviously mentally ill person.

The mental health people are already distancing themselves . They say it's a gun issue and blaming mental health just makes it worse for people suffering from those issues . I'm telling you , this thing is going to gain momentum and by election time it will be THE major issue . Forget about the economy and gas prices . This has played right into their hands and they will milk it for all it's worth . Look what that idiot Beto did yesterday . He had no problem using those deaths for political gain .

Ammo, mags, anything that can be labeled ASSAULT RIFLE. These are the primary things I would concern myself with having enough of.
With potato head at the helm and the Dems powered up we are looking at another big ban of some sort. Who knows what will pass, we know they will try, the stars are in alignment, no shortage of crazy shooters….The storm weren’t so perfect when the Clinton-Brady-Feinstein-Assault Weapons ban was passed and the NRA was in their prime. Fast forward to now and consider what’s changed. ATF as out of control as ever, The most far left leaning (influenced) POTUS of our lifetime, Other countries banning nearly all semi auto firearms, NRA filing for bankruptcy and how many mass shootings under our belt since the early 90’s? I’m not necessarily placing bets on a ban, but I’m ready for one because I’m expecting one.
Regardless, even the veiled threat of a ban will make stuff disappear and triple in price.

My view is we support any actions that attempt to keep guns out of the hands of these nuts. If it means strengthening background checks do it. If it means additional mental health checks do it. I don't want to loose my right to have any type of sporting or defense guns I want by being stuck on not passing any action. Most of the issues are already covered on the federal form, improving the check system would be a good place to start.

I am not in favor of a registry, but let's work to improve methods to minimize illegal gun possession.

    Something to consider:
In the realm of mental illness, which is obviously where the government should start if they really want to work on reducing these insane acts of violence, does anyone have the expertise to spot crazy at this point? I mean think about it for a second.
So many things that would have sounded alarms just a few short years ago have now been normalized, or anyone pointing them out as being a sign of mental illness or at least unusual is shunned, attacked or fired from their job.
You can’t decide what gender you want to be? Don’t worry, we got you. You’re a 40 year old man and you wanna play dress up and use the ladies room? Ok, we’ll handle it for you. Wanna teach a class full of 3rd graders about sex and how to be a deviate like it’s a ride at Disneyland? Well, let’s pass some laws and have the feds protect you. Wanna shut down and burn down a city and defund the police? Sure, we’ll allow that. How much time you need?
Firstly, with all the purple haired, hardware faced Tik-Tok crowd deciding the new norms, there’s not a lot to go on in the way of spotting crazy. Crazy just don’t really stand out in the crowd anymore. And don’t get me started on Karens.
Secondly, if our own government and mass media continue to pander to all the mentally ill people in this country and treat sane people like criminals for calling them out, pointing them out or singling them out, how the heck are they ever gonna get a handle on mental illness?

Gov does not give a flip about stopping any violence they just want us to be defenseless.
Any new laws will just continue to restrict law abiding people.
If the safety of our children from school shootings were actually important to them there are lots of ways to make them safer, most of it is common sense!

I am already Panic Buying. Not sure why. I give it 15 years tops and we are going to be forced to turn in Semi Autos or go to jail.
Cant turn them in or end up in jail if they're picked up off your person while laying in the street dead because you stood up for what you believe in. If You don't stand for ****, you ain't ****...

The Libtards are using this like everything else. Just like Beano Ororke, they use what ever happens to blame the other side.
Chuck Shutmer refused to allow a vote on school safety to come up for a vote! Let that sink in. Lockdown & armed guards at schools are a simple answer to keep kids safe. They Don’t Want to Fix It. They only want to keep blaming Republicans for hurting everyone.
So Yes, let the panic buying began & watch joe and nancy pass new laws that will help No One.

The Ukraine is the best example of late that Should cement in all Americans minds the worth of having and protecting the second amendment. If they would have had the quantity of arms in citizens hands and the marksmanship that civilians have here the Russians would likely not have had the successes they have had.

But back to our deal, yes the school boards, local politicians, the state politicians, and the National politicians have FAILED us and it is so evident. They wish to hide it and it is up to the public to call them out on this Loudly.

They either were complicit or fought efforts to harden and protect the schools since the Columbine school shooting and likely before. I remember after it there were many that wished to provide advice on how to limit unchecked access, beef up security and put into place real deterrence, other than a hope and a prayer 1000' rule.

They are to blame, not us law abiding. I am Sick of being lumped together with criminals by our supposed representatives.

Bill Casidy is coddling up to the weak senator from the Sandy Hook area, who is looking to blame everyone but himself for not taking real action to protect schools. If Washington can put into place protections for the nation's transportation, they can sure help the State's schools with direction to harden against these events.

We defend our Governors with guns
We defend our celebrities with guns
We defend our sporting events with guns
We defend our jewelry stores with guns
We defend our banks with guns
We defend our office buildings with guns
We defend our factories with guns
We defend our courts with guns

Doesn’t make much sense to me at all. As a father with two young boys I would love to see trained armed guards in schools as well as teachers given the option to carry. If a teacher wants to carry make them attend training as well as some specific active shooter training.
