    I am looking at a 7MM mag. I will be hunting whitetail almost exclusively. I have more experience with 30-06 and 308. My brother-in-law said he likes the ballistics of the 7MM over the 30-06. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

    To add to what the other guys said, there's nothing natural to the state a 30-06 or .308 can't take. Now if you want one just for the sheer sake of it, by all means add one to the collection but your old rifles will serve you just fine on your hunt
