Have any of you put a floor mounted type gun safe inside of a wall opening? I have a space to do so and want to cover the safe door with a sliding mirror. Why would I want to do this, wall mounted safes are typically not very deep because people do not have the depth, I do. So I want to stick a floor mounted safe in the space. Concerned that there could be issues with it inside of a wall that has no air flow from the rest of the house.

Since not an outside wall I would think fine.
I think a quick call to Liberty ( or others) asking if they make what you need as far as size on wall safe. Thet might have one designed for ease of wall use just not listed. Worth a call.

shouldn't be any issues, especially if you have power in the cubby to run dehumidifiers. I have a powered rod in mine and a rechargeable desiccant.

Even if you couldn't run power, I've had safes/vaults (in climate controlled houses) for over 50 years without humidity protection and never had an issue. Still better to have humidity control if you can.
