    Suing may not be such a good deal if you are on the receiving end of not being able to adequately protect yourself. It's an after action remedy that you or a loved one might not be around to take advantage of.

    It sounds good but I don't know how you can prove that things would have turned out differently had you been armed .
    The thing is that you don't have to prove that point. By posting the sign, the property owner is assuming liability for your protection, no matter how competent (or incompetent) you are.
