Project Appleseed provides rifle marksmanship courses based on the fundamentals - position, sling use, and 6 steps to firing the shot. The only competition is you against yourself. We do award the Rifleman Patch to those who qualify, but it's based on their score alone, not relative to how...
Project Appleseed will hold a two day rifle marksmanship event at Villere on September 5th and 7th.
Unlike prior events, you may shoot a centerfire rifle (we are on a different range this time).
Please contact me with any questions.

My office (in NO) is holding a fundraising competition benefitting the Second Harvest Food Bank. I am a team captain. Can anyone help us out with auction items? For example, gift certificates for NO-area restaurants, bars, or shops would be great. Sports tickets are another hot item. I will...
We will have some additional LA events booked soon.
Some ranges will only allow .22 rimfire (like Camp Villere in Slidell), but the rest of our LA ranges allow CF rifles. As General Mills said though, it's cheaper to learn/practice with a .22. But we encourage you to use whatever rifle you...
There is an event in Eunice in June. They may shoot from distance at the end of the event. But we hope to be back at Palo Alto later this year as well. Hope to see you then.
There are spots still open. I have never met anyone who didn't find this to be the most bang for the buck in shooting instruction. We would love to see you there. Sign up here:

Per Club rules, AK and SKS rifles are not allowed on the long range. But we likely can arrange a loaner/rental for you. Let me know if you need one.
Also, per Club rules, red- dot and ACOG sights are discouraged. We will teach you how to use irons or a scope - your choice.
...on May 30-31. We will shoot at 25M on Saturday and then move out to 200 yards on Sunday (you must shoot a centerfire rifle at 200). **Note that the address of the range is 1393 Hwy 943 (it was initially incorrect on the Appleseed website)...
He is not in BR, but there is a guy in Houma who works on machines. I have found him to be a great resource. I don't have his info handy, but I bet a search for Houma sewing machine repair will find him. Or search for Husqvarna repair in Houma.
We hold events in all 50 states. Here is a link to the Idaho schedule:

Of course, while kids of a suitable age can learn a lot at an Appleseed clinic, it is not a youth program.
