Currently loading 9mm, but want to start loading .38 special as it's not always available and it fairly costly. The wife is also starting to like our .38 revolver...
Agreed! But, I will be checking their prices again when they get more supplies, but I keep hearing that they are pretty spendy on most all other items, so I am not expecting good pricing. L&M was also very high on .38 special rounds, I ended up purchasing them from Monroe TP Outdoors.
L&M didn't have any small pistol primers yet, but they will within a week or so. The primers they did have were in the $7 range per 100. I purchased 1000 at Diamond for $4.25 per 100. I don't think their prices are going to be very competitive at all.
I went to L&M today, they are just starting to get their supplies in, but what they have is about 10%-20% higher than Diamond Gun, Cabela's, etc. I have also visited Simmons in Bastrop and was surprised at how expensive they were as well. Diamond is the best priced in the area unless you are...
It can wait, I just wasn't expecting it to be so difficult to pick up a moderately priced unit locally. For me, it's also hard to justify 20% or more for shipping, but in this case, including shipping, it may just be cheaper to order what I need.
You know when you have 95% of everything and...
I know they do, wish they could ship quicker, but they are more than a week out for the item I would purchase. I may have to make a trip to BassPro, but it doesn't appear that they are as competitive with their pricing as Cabela's or eBay.
True, but Cabela's is a fairly long drive from my location and I was hoping to pick one up in the next day or so. Cabela's kit is fairly nice price-wise, but once again, not close to me.
Looking to purchase a tumbler in North LA if anyone has one they are willing to part with. Haven't found a dealer locally that has one for a half-way decent price! Separator as well is available.
Thanks, Brian
Edit: Or, how about a place in Monroe area that carries them other than...
Wow, I have been in this area for only 4 months, and will only be here for 14 months total (work releated), interesting to see the local take on the area.
Diamond Pawn: 8203 Desiard St. Monroe LA 71203
I was able to pick up supplies there, prices were okay, should suffice for short term but need to find local (LA) bulk supplier.
A friend is looking to have some work done on his older 1911, but hasn't been able to find a knowledgable gunsmith/shop in the West Monroe/Monroe area. Anyone have a place or anyone they would recommend?
Thanks
