A bit over a month ago, I bought a new DSA SA58 Congo from Jim's Firearms. It was only today that I finally got to shoot it.
Loads of failures to feed. Numerous occasions of the bolt stopping a bit before fully chambered. Not a few failures to extract. It turns out that there is a gap...
I've got one mounted for a Bulgarian AK. There were two types of AK Irondots: one for Bulgarian and one for every other one.
What type of AK are you looking to put it on?
I was going to go to this tomorrow (was, in fact, packing up to head out) but upon re-reading some stuff, I have a question: is Appleseed a .22 only shoot? I only have my AKs. If it is, then I'll plan on going to the one in December and, in the interim, get a .22.
I got a Red Star Arms trigger for my Yugo AK. Trigger is too long and collides with the trigger guard, though it does fire. I'm guessing that it needs about 2mm taken off, maybe a bit more.
Who to bring it to?
"All you need is a valid LA hunting/fishing license or a Wild Louisiana stamp which is $5."
Ah, thanks for this info. Wasn't sure what that license allowed. I've now just ordered mine.
