      CHP & Vets.

But the class is still around $125 every 5 years. I am a vet and I am not renewing. I paid for the lifetime permit years ago but I will not renew.

      What If...

I would definitely buy a electric vehicle if the charging stations were more wide spread. I drive in some remote country areas on a regular basis and I never see charging stations around when I need gas. Two years ago we towed a camper from Louisiana to Colorado. We drove through remote areas...

      What If...

That is the biggest problem with EVs, the charging infrastructure just is not wide spread enough right now.

      What If...

No power grid also means no re-fueling gas powered cars. Gas pumps require electricity just like EV charging stations require electricity. And I live in Louisiana where we frequently get hit by hurricanes and NO gas stations have back up generators. When the power goes out you cannot buy gas...

      What If...

That is not accurate. I live in Baton Rouge and I do not know of any gas stations that have back up generators. and many have been built around me since Katrina.

      What If...

I live in Louisiana and have been through many hurricanes. Absolutely NONE of the gas stations around have generators for backup power. When the power goes out, nobody can buy gas.

Too much boom @ indoor ranges

I have always worn double hearing protection while shooting at indoor ranges. I use silicone ear plugs then ear muffs. I was shooting my AR-10 at the Precision Firearms range and that sucker was sure loud, even with double hearing protection.

CHP no longer required for veterans on August 1st

I am a veteran and I have had my conceal carry permit for about 10 year now. I can tell you that veterans definitely did NOT get our permits for free. I had to pay for every bit of the permit just like everyone else. I paid $500 for a lifetime permit and then I had to still take a refresher...

CHP no longer required for veterans on August 1st

I just e-mailed the Louisiana State Police and they replied saying that it is correct. Veterans will no longer have to get a CHP permit. They sent the following document to me.

Shooting at 4th of July parade

That is really horrible if it was an AR10. It is a large caliber and I am sure causes really severe damage. I have an AR10 and I cannot fathom doing what this guy did.

Shooting at 4th of July parade

They guy definitely looks like he is a bit mentally disturbed. Does anyone know what weapon he used in the shooting? I have just seen reports of a rifle, nothing specific.

Do you have " enough " stuff ?

I already stopped going to the range. Ammo now costs too much and can still be hard to find. I am well stocked but it can be difficult to re-stock.

Honda CRV reliability - dead as a hammer.\update

I have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler and my radiator recently started leaking. I called the dealership and they said the radiators are on nation wide backorder and they have no idea when they may get more. Luckily I was able to find an on-line store that had 1 Mopar radiator in stock. I ordered it and...

Ruger P95 High Round Count Review

The first pistol I ever bought was a Ruger P89. I bought is back in the early 90's. I still own it and will never sell it. It has been a fantastic gun and has never malfunctioned.

      RVing and hiking

Good luck, I am jealous. Years ago, I hiked the first 40 miles of the AT, starting at Springer Mountain in Georgia. It is beautiful, but a tough hike.

      Any travel trailer/ campers / rv’ers?

We bought a popup camper in 2018 and have gone on a camping trip pretty much once every month since we bought it. I drive a 4 door Jeep so it can only tow 3,500 lbs. The popup weights around 2,000 lbs. We have been on several out of state trips to Galveston, TX, Ouray, CO, Hot Springs...
