      I sorta agree with the OP.... if you shoot and kill, or even worse wound that kid, you will be in a civil lawsuit for the rest of your life. Probably looking at $50k just to go to court...... all joking aside, do what you have to to stay alive.

      CCW question

      I put a PO box on my permit for several reasons, some of which you might laugh at. CCW permits are public records in louisiana, and anyone can look them up and see who's got a gun to steal...... or so I've been told. A PO box gives a bit of an edge in security and convenenience anyways.

      according to their website they are running winter hours..... friday saturday and sunday.... if it rains the 100 yd rifle range gets pretty muddy..... bring rubber boots if you are still going.

      blast it !! I would blast it anyway before I coated it anyways..... otherwise you can use camo tape or camo rifle wrap tape for those special occaissons..... krylon spray paint in an emergency.... it's reversible too but messy to remove. depends on what you want to do.

      I got this thing from cabela's called the Wheeler crosshair leveling kit. IT's basically two bubble levels with magnetic bottoms. Like other posters suggest, they work with certain guns.... yeah, align everything to either the right or left line, it's much easier than eyeballing the center...

      All I would have to say is carry whatever you like and have confidence in. After that... get regular practice..... shot placement is absolutely important no matter what you carry. Shooting skills are perishable. The more you shoot while making effort to improve will increase your chances...
