      Can I use .38 Special ammo in a S&W snub nose .38?

      I have a S&W model 52 that shoots .38 special. It's a semi-auto pistol. It shoots mid-range wadcutters only.

      Can I use .38 Special ammo in a S&W snub nose .38?

If it says .38 S&W, that's NOT .38 Special and the ammo you pictured IS NOT safe to use in it. The cases will split when fired and possibly even damage the gun and/or shooter. Don't try it. However, if the barrel is stamped ".38 Special", then it should be safe to use the pictured ammo.

      Can I use .38 Special ammo in a S&W snub nose .38?

No, it won't. If it's a Smith with fixed sights, the SN will be stamped on the bottom of the backstrap. If it has adjustable sights (which I doubt this one does), it will be stamped on the frame where the crane is, and the bottom of the backstrap. I was just posting/suggesting for him not to...

      Can I use .38 Special ammo in a S&W snub nose .38?

Picture of revolver with barrel stampings along with above photo would help members provide an accurate answer. You may wish to lay a piece of paper over serial # or obscure it in some way before posting photo.

      Is Hodgdon BL-C2 a good .308 powder?

WW748 is very close in burn rate to the BL-C2 and is a ball powder. I used that too in both the .308 and .223

      Is Hodgdon BL-C2 a good .308 powder?

I used the BL-C2 in my .308 years ago when I was bulk loading them on my Dillon 550. I used it mainly because it metered really well out of the powder measure. It kept my M1-A and my HK91 well fed. Can't recall the powder charge, and I was loading 150 grain FMJ because they were cheapest. There...

Louisiana to Resume Executions Adding New Methods.

I always thought, in the name of justice, to use the same method to kill the criminal that he used to kill his victim. And do it at the same location he committed the crime. Some sanitary, wipe his arm with an alcohol swab to prevent infection, then start an I.V. so he can just drift off to...

      Biden Closes Gun Show Loophole.

What makes you think I didn't read it? I was making a reply to AdvancedLaser that what he stated was more than enough to get his point across, and that he didn't have to quote the entire document. Maybe you should quote the entire document and highlight what he was referring to. I personally...

Crumbleys going to jail for 10 plus years

News said he drew a picture of a gun on some papers at school and wrote "Help me. I ask my parents for help and they won't listen". So they went and bought him a gun-which he used in the shooting.

      Glock Trigger Reset Issue

I'm glad you discovered the problem parts. Now, to get further down the rabbit hole, is it the connector or the trigger bar, or a combination of the two? You can purchase both new (and OEM), and replace one, test it, then replace the other and test it again. Might be only one part causing the...

Usaf vet red hatter 2 maps

Welcome aboard Sir, and thanks for your service. Katrina was similar for me. Lived in Eden Isles, 6 foot water in the house and gun safe. Took a week to get to the house and rescue the safe's occupants. Only thing that survived unscathed was the Glock 17. Everything else was rusted, the .22's...

      Anyone taken an Alaskan cruise?

The time of year is really important. One season is too cold, one season is nothing but biting flies, one season (when we went in August 18-25), rain, rain, and some more rain. All excursions were canceled due to weather. I'm sure there is a season that the weather is best, and that will be the...

      Shooting From Inside the Car

After exposure to any loud sounds (gunfire, construction equipt, lawn mowers, rock concerts), if your ears are ringing you have damaged your hearing. It might be minimal, but it is a cumulative effect and over time will result in permanent hearing loss. Once it's gone, it cannot be regained.

      Shooting From Inside the Car

Yes, as others have said, it will be loud inside a vehicle, especially since it is confined. It could/will have a long lasting negative effect on your hearing. BUT an incoming round in the noggin from a bad guy's gun won't help your hearing either, but that's just my opinion. Others may disagree.
