I haven't abandoned the idea carrying my Glock 19 or Kimber Ultra Carry, but the weight and bulk just always feels awkward and heavy, despite having a quality gun belt and crossbreed holsters. Until I feel reasonably comfortable with them I will continue to carry my Sig P238 in a Ramora holster...
I haven't decided on a suppressor yet and plan to go to Arms Merchant in Mandeville which is close to me.
Can you tell me the difference between Form 3 and Form 4?
Thanks much for your help :)
My trust is completed and ready to go, and I have a question.
It's my understanding that the processing time for a suppressor is around 9 months. Is this the normal processing time for future purchases or just the first-time purchase?
My wife's arrived today. Dropped off and fingerprinted at LSP Headquarters on May 20th. It's been a few days short of 12 weeks.
Mine was dropped off the same day. Still waiting.
Yours is the first received permit with a May drop-off that I've seen here. We were printed and dropped ours off 11 days before you did (May 20), so maybe we're getting close.
With the mail-in and hand-in dates we're seeing along with time it's taken people to receive their permits, it seems obvious that the hand-ins process a bit faster, but there must be other things that cause 3 or 4 times the wait for some people. Could be something popping up on the records check...
UNFIRED 30-30 cal. purchased in 1966. I have the original box. The first photo is a stock photo. The other two are actual photos of my gun.
I will consider trades for: S&W Mod 60 Chief Special, Sig P238, Springfield XDs. I might also entertain other trades, but that's what I'm mainly...
You were right and he was wrong, but your first reply telling him "It's a Glock Model 34..." sure sounds like a smart aleck response, and I really don't think that does service to open carriers. Maybe I'm reading it wrong and it didn't sound like it was typed.
I talked to a guy a few days ago who overlooked the checkboxes on the military service part of the application. Needless to say his was returned, then resubmitted, and most likely ended up at the back of the line adding additional weeks of waiting.
