StatusQuo. These guys were huge in Europe while Aerosmith, bad company, grand funk we’re burning it up . Underrated, and had they toured with any of the above named bass it would have been hugely. “Ive got a big fat mama and there’s no one else around”
Piston guns like that are great, and my favorites. I have two Dianas (48 & 350) and they have accounted for many squirrels. However, they tend to have a significant learning curve. So for a ypungster trying to master the basics of hold, sight picture, etc. , the double recoil of springers...

Spin the wheel and get $20 off. This is a copy of the old crosman 160. IMO best for younger shooters.
My only pump is an 870 express 20 ga. The wood is ugly but otherwise it’s superb. I think they (and the 1100) are well-balanced guns and easy to shoot well. I also have recently bought two of the Tristar 20 ga. Autos and im very happy with them. Whether or not they hold up over time remains...
Where to find how to correctly post in “Marketplace” and send PM? I apologize for my mistake earlier it is not deliberate misconduct i just don’t know what Im doing.
Older Thompson pistol in 45LC/.410. Gifted to me a long time ago and has been sitting up ever since. Not my cup of tea really. Original butt grip was broken and replaced. Forend has a few dings but nothing unfixable(needs to be refinished to match butt anyway). Octagon barrel, cuts...
Great replies. I also let go of a marlin 39(not a pistol obviously) in early 90’s to buy van halen tickets. Stood in line for 4 hours then got the word they were sold out. That one still makes me sick.
I had an S&W 3913 in mid-nineties. It was not pretty and didn’t feel as good in my hand as some others, but it was accurate as all get out and very, very reliable ( and one of the many, many guns i regret selling). Still CZ75 would be my pick if I could only have one.
I think its pretty cool and would live to have the Ruger carbine. Being standardized by NATO can’t hurt.

Got a chance to shoot a .44 when I was in the AF. We went up to mount lemon to shoot our guns and some guys had one and let my roommate and I put a magazine each through it. It bounced biwling pins pretty good. A hand cannon for sure and will put a smile on your face.
Academy has the Winchester SXP which is one of the Turks. It has pretty wood and short barrel and LOP. I bought a Tristar semiautomatic 20 guage for my son last year and he’s put about 400 shells through it on the skeet field with no hiccups. Not sure how these will hold up long term. I grew...
I think that in their price range the Gamos are pretty darn good. Diana and HW are higher quality piston guns but you will pay. I have a Diana 48 that is an absolute squirrel thumper. I also have a few pcp's and they are cool and in terms of pure performance they can be made more powerful...
Just wanted to say Hi. Found this board by chance roaming the web. Nice to have a forum with membership close to home. Been shooting since mid 70's (Benjamin 347). Been into the air rifle hobby for last 10 years and wanting to do more rimfire now. I'm in the Washington LA area. Thanks
