My 10/22 is drilled and tapped for a scope. When I tried to remove the screws in it to put in the included weaver rail section, the screws would not come out. I did not press it for fear of stripping them. Any suggestions?

Make sure you have a set of gun smith or metal slotted screw drivers. Slotted Wood screw drivers are a sure fire way to mess up metal screws. It has to fit the slot tight.

How long have the screws bin living there? I’d say pb blaster or krolls and a bit of heat from a heat gun should help. If you use heat I’d remove the stock.
    Good luck

Heat. They are likely installed with thread locker.

You could use a heat gun or a hair dryer.

    Or,

You could mag dump six or seven BX25 mag through it, and try while it's naturally warm.
