I had someone do a trigger job on my 10/22. Other than the trigger its still factory. I took it to the range with the only box of .22 I had handy, a box that had been sitting behind the seat of my truck for probably a year. It grouped nicely but I had a few rounds not fire. The same ammo was running fine in my Buckmark. I don't know if it was the ammo or not. Can a trigger job lead to light strikes? Or was it just coincidence? I can bring it back and have it adjusted if need be...

Were they in fact light strikes ? Did you compare cases ? Try some new ammo first. A trigger job on that gun should not do that if done right.

I'd try some different ammo first. Unless your getting a light hammer strike, I would say its ammo related. If you get more FTF's compare the firing pin hit on your fired and failed cases. If theres a difference bring it back to your gunsmith.

The ammo was questionable to begin with, but I ran 30 or 40 rounds of it through my buckmark without a failure. I'll give it another try first before I go back (not a big deal to go back. The gunsmith was Paul at Nick's which is where I usually shoot anyway).
