    BOTH are SOLD

    Hello all,

I have two early commercial (non-military) lugers for sale. I'm looking to add an M1 Garand to my collection so I’m open to a trade but I’m looking for something in the CMP Service or special grade. I can make a deal on both as well. I am located in Covington and work in New Orleans so I can bring them to show if need be. Thanks in advance!

Both Lugers are DWM in .30 luger (7.65mm) and date to 1923 – 1924 and exported to the USA . Both function perfectly. Ammo for these can still be purchased, but I’d use them for collectors use. 7.65 luger isnt the same as 7.65 (.32acp) Its a bottle neck cartrige like this: http://www.midwayusa.com/Product/167633/fiocchi-ammunition-30-luger-93-grain-full-metal-jacket-box-of-50

    First Luger:
Serial number 5705 L , Crown over N proof mark, Made in Germany on left side of barrel which is a unique and somewhat rare. All numbers match. Bore is in good condition. No pitting. Finish is good, but has some wear. Has an period original magazine with wooden base, but is not original to gun and has a small chip. Magazine alone would go for $100. Has a small dink on the top of the barrel. $650

    Second Luger:

Serial number 382 M, Crown over N proof mark, all numbers match, bore is good. Finish is in very good condition. Has the word Germany on the right side of frame which is the export mark. Now for the bad parts….. Shoulder stock lug looks like it was ground off which was unfortunately a somewhat common thing because some people thought it was illegal to own a gun with a shoulder stock attachment. Has a magazine, but is a repro. Also has a small threaded hole in the front of the trigger guard. Like someone was trying to put in a trigger travel adjustment? Who knows….. $450

I brought the prices down a bit.... I knew it would be difficult to unload these since everyone is looking for a war souvenir. :)

These Lugers were made in the same plants as the war pistols but without the military proof marks.... just in between wars. :mamoru: Like all gun manufactures, they stayed open by making pistols for the Military, Police and the general public including export.

I'd rather sell them here, but I'll probably list them on Lugerforum in a few days.
