Is a license required when hunting on private property?

I got my first license last year and I hunted one day and it was on private property and if I dont need one I wont get one this year.

Thanks, thats what I thought. Is it safe to assume Wildlife and Fisheries agents can go on private property at will or no beacuse what they would be looking for would be a criminal matter thus requiring a search warrant?

I'm going to get one again as I plan on making a few WMA hunts this year, I'm after a pig. I want to do a pig roast in my backyard.

    Yes you do.

They can and will go onto private land to catch some one with out a hunting lic. If you hunt WMA's you need to have a WMA lic along with a basic and big game for deer.

Seen several tickets given out to private land owner for not having a lic.

WFA actually have some of the most powerful jurisdiction.

They can enter private property and search homes/vehicles if they suspect someone to be poaching(technically hunting without a license is a form of poaching I would imagine.) or breaking WF hunting/fishing laws, if my understand is correct.

    aka...

get a License...its worth it just to avoid the potential troubles that not having one could bring.
