The guys at the range aren't going to ask for anything but $6; but as Drag stated above you need something if stopped by the LDWF agents. I like the idea of a cane pole license I was trying to figure out what to get for my wife to get her out there.

I am new to the state so I have no idea what a cane pole licence is. Where can you get on?

I tried to get a cane pole license last year. No luck. I ended up with a choice between a freshwater license ($11 I think) or a State Wildlife Stamp ($5). I bought the freshwater in case I decided to go fishing later I'd just have to get the saltwater license.

I've never heard of the Wild La Lic. Is that different from the WMA one?

I think it's the same thing. Last time I went to shoot at Sherburne it was about a month before the fishing licenses were going to expire so I bought a one day. I didn't know the cane pole license was so cheap.
