Ruger has a limited run of Flatop 44 Special Blackhawk revolvers being made for Lipseys' as their exclusive. Not sure how many are being made, but will be available in 4 5/8 and 5 1/2 inch barrel lengths. Over the years many who desired a 44 special in a Ruger single action have converted the 357 mag. blackhawks to 44 special by having them rebarreled and cylinders reamed to 44 cal. dimensions. It appears that this exclusive run for Lipseys' has created a waiting list for the Ruger collectors. Mine should be in tomorrow. :D

I haven't been told the price on the 44 special yet, but I imagine it will be the same as a regular blackhawk. MSRP is the same as regular balckhawk, but don't know what the discount will be yet. If you are in St. Landry and are looking for a 357 mag blackhawk, try Hutchinsons' Guns in Tioga, if he doesn't have it he will get it for you in 2 to 3 days (assuming the distributors have it available) and you won't find a lower price. Distributors warehouses are a lot like the ammo shelves at Walmart, getting bare.
