*TRADE PENDING*
I have a Ward's Western Field model 30-3B562A (Stevens 520) 16ga. 2 3/4" chamber 28" barrel Imp cyl. or mod. I'm not sure.
It is a copy of John Browning's design.
These were made in the early 1900's up to the 30's I believe. I have no idea when this gun was built, but the 70 somthing year old man I bought it from, said it was the gun his father hunted with when he was a child!
The shotgun is in pretty good shape given the age and the fact that it was used for hunting. Wear on the finish of the metal and wood, no rust, no large dents or cracks in the wood. The front sight is still intact, and the gun still has that lightning fast, butter smooth action that these guns have been praised for in the past. I shot 50 shell at the shotgun range at Honey Island, and I loved it! I did just as well or better with it as my mossy 500 12ga. w/28" barrel.
Now this part I didn't know untill about 30min before posting this ad.
This gun is a take down shotgun! You pull the slide back, unscrew the mag tube, pull the slide forward and the barrel, slide, and magazine tube all slide off the reciever together as one price! Amazing!
I have 200 2 3/4" no. 6 shot shells to go with the gun.
I really want to trade for ruger 10/22, perferably one with an aftermarket pistol grip style stock.
Selling price is $300 FTF in or near Slidell.
