Sorry for not having a better camera. If you like any of this stuff, there are links to where I got it all. There is more to it than I took the time to showcase, but you get the idea.

    Thank you.

Yes, that is most of why I maintain links to the brands and mods I chose. I do alot of research about each little thing before deciding on it. My rifle is great for me. It may not be what the next guy wants, but I love it.

What makes another lower receiver better then another?

Is it better to buy a already assembled rifle, or to piece it together?

is the eotech on the upper receiver or on the quad rail? its not good to have optics mounted on quad rails, not nearly as solid as the upper receiver.

It is on the first notch of the rail. It is solid enough. I have it that far forward because I am planning on getting a 4X flip to side magnifier for it, and I wanted to be used to it being far enough forward to leave room for the magnifier. That Samson rail is a sturdy unit, not arguing that the upper would be better, but the EOTech is a CQB optic for me, and I am not sweating 1/2 MOA for CQB.

There are alot of options in lowers out there. Some cast, some forged, some carbon fiber... Generally, most folks will say that you want things as close to 'mil-spec' as possible. Just about any forged lower from a reputable company will do you just fine.

As to separate vs. assembled- that depends on your personal preference. Most companies offer 1yr warranties on parts, some offer lifetime on assembled rifles. You can save money by avoiding the extra tax on complete firearms by buying separate, but you sacrifice the warranty. Also, it is nice to have the guaranteed fit and finish of a rifle that has been assembled and tested by the manufacturer. Some people buy separate, and then need an accu-wedge to eliminate play between the upper and lower. Mine fits like a glove out of the box (bought complete).

I bought my primary AR complete, but I wouldn't mind assembling from parts for my next rifles.

    Its up to you, basically.

what is a good barrel to get and where from?

Nothing to fancy looking to spend $250 - $350

That depends entirely on what you want. There is a million combinations of ways to get a barrel. From chromed to stainless to chrome moly to match to 223/5.56 chamber... What are you planning to use it for?

I would say anything in a chrome lined or stainless barrel would be fine. 1/9 twist is generally considered a good all-around twist. My barrel is 16", but if I was only using it for targets and hunting, I would get a longer barrel (the shorter length is for maneuverability).
