    Great looking rifle.

What is its date of manufacture? The reason that I ask is that the older ones were assembled (mostly) from surplus USGI parts kits. I would love to get my hands on one of these at some point in the future but they are really expensive.

unverified, but from the 80's based on the #'s. How can you tell the difference between usgi & commercial parts?

That is a 20rd USGI mag

I believe that Springfield assembled them from surplus USGI parts kits in the 80's but I'm not sure how many of the parts were USGI and how many of them were newly manufactured replicas. I would recommend that you research it further. If you have one of these rifles, you might want to consider never getting rid of it.
