me and a friend did a little shooting this weekend and his wife was there shooting her 9mm a ruger p89 i think. i had my g17 also. she was having problems pretty much every shot the spent would get caught in the slide. he thought at first that it could be the gun since it is new. i handed her the glock and it did the same thing. i figured she had to be limpwristing it so we tried to show her how to gold it better and kept telling her to make sure she was holding it tight. the problem continued my gun has never misfed on me and the guy i bought it from was there and said he never had a problem either. also my buddy could shoot the ruger without a problem. so what can he do to help her he bought the gun specificaly because its a single stack and has a smaller grip. shes a pretty small girl could it be that she just doesnt have the arm strength or is there something else he can try to get her to do to correct the problem.

we worked with her on that but even with the single stack her hands are still pretty small but she appeared to have a pretty firm grip on it.

She needs to slide her hand up on the grip so that the tang is tightly seated in the web of her hand between thumb and trigger finger. Sounds like she is holding the guns too high.

    I'd have to agree.
