I recently went through my deceased fathers guns. I saw a mossberg 500e that looks totally bubba'd out. The barrel is cut down and he shaved the stock down to a pistol grip (that's my pops :) ) But anywho, I would never feel safe about shooting it as it looks so jerry rigged. Does anybody know if the 500 12 gauge stock and forearm should fit? Any help would be appreciated!

If he cut the barrel back to less than 18 inches you'll need a new barrel too. The ATF will come and drag you away. Also the shortest over all length you can have for a shotgun is 26 inches. But by replacing the stock that should take care of that if it was a problem.
