    It's residential, story is:

I moved to LA back in Oct. for work, and signed a 6-7 month lease that ended April 30th 2009. The lease states that 30 days notice must be given. At the end of March I put my last rent check and notice in the drop box. Moved out and dropped off the keys April 30th. Well now they claim they never received the notice and are claiming I forfeited the deposit so I owe them over $1000 for 6 weeks worth of rent and damages (stained carpet which I admit too and having to redo the counter tops which is bogus they looked the same leaving as they did coming in). From what I've gathered from a few previous tenants this is pretty common with them.

A PM just reminded me that I know the AG down here, so plan to ask him what to do.
