I heard something on the news last night about a murder in New Iberia but haven't seen anything since. Didn't see nothing on the online paper either.

Chances are high that if it did happen, Hopkins would be a likely area to start looking.

Edit: This was in reply to CZ owner. Hebert St. ain't far off (2 blocks).

    Shooting Victim Shot in Leg

    Posted: June 2, 2009 06:41 PM CDT

The masked man, who shot someone Monday night in New Iberia, remains on the loose.

It happened last night in front of a home on Hebert Street.

Deputies with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office say the suspect threatened the victim and then fired shots when the victim ran away. One of those bullets hit the man in the leg.

Deputies say the victim is being treated for the injury, but the triggerman is still on the loose.

If you know anything about this shooting, call 369-3714.

Thanks. At first on the news they said it was a murder. Good thing my boss lets me open carry on the job :D

The owners of the grocery store I used to work at would let me bring my guns to work and when they would buy a new gun they would bring it and we would go in the back and check them out. I dont think they would have let me OC while at work, but I think it would have intimidated people into tipping me lol:eek3:
