I have never been a big fan of Carcanos, but I do buy them from time to time to add to my collection if the price is right.
I stopped in at a local shop on my way home from work last week and spotted this little carbine sitting on the rack. It was priced $180 and looked to be in pretty good shape. Talked with the shop owner and got a deal on the carbine.

Never owned one but have always been drawn to 'em. I like their looks. They seem like good, basic, utility shooters. Sort of the bolt action equivalent of .30-30 lever actions.

I have something like eight of them now in my collection. Two are missing a small part or two, but the rest are correct. I keep asking myself why I keep buying these little things.
