All Bullseye matches will be shooting Center fire and rim fire.

They will let you shoot the rimfire for the whole day but your score will not count in center fire.

Silhouette rifle with a 10/22 is good, but I would recommend at least a better barrel and a trigger job, I shoot one but I am a masochist.

    When??

I've been trying to figure out our match schedule, but it never specifies if it's a rimfire or centerfire match.

I would like to see a .22 match like IPSC.

As many conversions that are around I think it could be populated.

My G30 AA kit with mini mags recoils like my 19 with bunny farts that I used to shoot so the recoil impulse is there.

Is this for the Lake Charles matches, or just every match??

I've got a MKIII that I need to put through it's paces......

The bolt action is an advantage in Silo. With the auto's bolt slap it is hard to see your shots for correction.

Lake Charles is the only BE match in the state. Good folks and lots of experience on that firing line. Much can be learned from those guys if one is willing to learn.
    I miss going there....

Would a 10/22 suffice for most competitions or would a bolt action be better? I figure the benchrest thing at Nicks wou9ld be better suited with a bolt action.

Does anyone know of any pistol/carbine competitions? I'm assuming silhoutte is shot at fixed standing or sitting position.

The pistol silhouette matches are the first Sunday of every month with the next one scheduled for July 5th starting at 9:00 am. 40 shot course of fire for score with distances of 25-100 yds. Location is the Ascension Sheriff's range.
Rifle silhouette is the 4th Saturday at the same location. Both require the entry to be fired offhand with no bags or rests. Pistol silhouette does allow a supported hold called Creedmore which is a reclining position. Prone is also allowed in pistol.
Silhouette like other action target sports is far more interesting to me than any paper target game. Come give it a try. New first-time shooters shoot for free.
