    Not twenty minutes ago I put two nice butts on the Keg for tomorrow's Memorial Day meal. One is seasoned with my Wild Citrus rub and the other with a local seasoning, Leblanc's Gunz & Roses. Before seasoning both butts were rubbed down with some Steen's molasses. Using hickory lump with hickory chunks and the Keg is at about 225 degrees for now and they will most likely be on there until tomorrow morning.

    I took the butts off the Keg about 2:00pm. While they cooled down enough to handle I took a few laps around the pool and then came in to pull them. Pulling these were more like rubbing them between my finger and they were falling apart. Not much waste either.

    The bones basically came out easy and clean.

    When it came time to eat I kinda fizzled with the picture taking. I was fixing my granddaughter's dinner and forgot. I did manage one decent picture of my sandwich.

    Where do you get your gunz & roses seasoning? I can’t find it after leblancs turned into rouses.

    The last time I got it at the Rouse's in Prairieville. It wasn't in the spices section it was in the meat dept.
