If you are asking whether or not a Pmag will free fall when the mag release is pressed I will find out for you.

A loaded 30 round Pmag will drop free ( I tested it just now a few times), but I know you're probably asking if an unloaded one will drop free. I don't have time to unload a mag this morning before work but I'll check for you later this evening when I get back home.

I unloaded a 30 round Pmag, placed it in the lower and hit the mag release. It dropped free 10 out of 10 times i tried it. It will also drop free with empty 20 round aluminum Colt mags. Every mag I have ever put in this receiver as a test has dropped free loaded or unloaded every time. I hope this answers your question.
