    FYI:

Owed these blades since the late 90's,

and they are a rare find.my first impression of these Swiff Blades

were something out of the Batman movie back in 1989.

These blades were not necessarly to stab, but more so to slice.

These are sharper than the spines of a Sting Ray,and

NOT made of your typical stainless steel, but 316 surgical steel,

(yes the same kind of steel doctors use to perform surgery on patients!!)

    $30.00 cash

    Cases included.

What you see is exactly what you get.

    Dear Oak Man:

I am very interested in your Swiff Blades. But I am not sure they are the right ones for me.

Can you better define the level of sharpness, using your stingray spine scale ? Would you say they are 20% sharper .......... or perhaps 60% sharper than the spine of a stingray ? (I'm not looking for a precise number .... +/- 10% will be fine).

    Re:

These blades are sharp enough to shave with.

and if that not sharp enough, you can bring them to a machine shop

and have them sharpened to your specifications.

If they are allready sharp enough to shave with, how could a machinist possibly get them any sharper?

Just out of curiosity... how sharp is a stingray? Is it sharper than... say a..... "sea turtle"?

"yes the same kind of steel doctors use as handles to hold the 440C series scalpel blades used to perform surgery on patients!!"

Which isn't as good as say VG10, M2H2, 154CM, S30V, or any of the other steels we started commonly using in the past 10, 15 years...

Oak Man, not trying to pick...

In all seriousness, just sell them for what they are - your price is right, your sales pitch doesn't match and is counterproductive.

Are you talking about 316 or 440C? 300 series stainless is not blade steel. 440C is very good steel, though there is more to a knife than just steel you use. It has to be properly heat treated to be worth a damn. Being made of wondersteel doesn't automatically make a blade useful*. Also, scalpel blades are disposable in the most extreme sense of the word.

*The knife in my pocket is 154CM BTW.
