I'm looking for a chronograph to do some load development with. It will mostly be used for rifle rounds just to get a baseline and work up from. I might also use it for some pistol loads.

I figure I'm shooting the the dark without knowing the velocity these things are moving at.

I'm willing to spend enough to get a good unit but don't need anything that saves the information or prints it out. I can easily write the information down ;)

If there are some of the ones that you can connect to the computer for little to nothing more I would definitely consider them.

I've got a Chrony I used 6 or 7 times to develope some loads years ago and it's been in the closet since - if you pass thru New Iberia in the near future, you can try it out and if you like it I will sell it to you for $35. No printout, etc - just a basic unit.
