870 lw bbl on an Express--HELP

I bought an 870 express youth model (late production) that had a bulge in the bbl. I intended to chop it off and use it for a house gun. Now my 11yr old wants to shoot skeet. I have found a few mod choke replacement bbls on gunbroker for $75 but they are LW barrels. Will a LW bbl fit my express magnum? I know the finish is different and I know if it does fit it will not chamber 3" rounds. I just want to feed 2 3/4" shot through it.

If anyone has experience with this please let me know. Thanks
