I shot my 30-378 Accumark w/custom 30" McGowan barrel today, thought id share some numbers and some shots. 3 shot groups then reclean and again.
Heres the setup:
Bullet: Barnes TSX Tipped 168gr
Powder:- RL25 110.6gr
Trim- 2.90
OAL- 3.49
Range- 540 meters
Temp- 76
Elev- 323ft
Crony- Alpha Master
AVG FPS- 4055 fps. muz
High Fps- 4063 fps. muz
It was gusting every now and then to about 12mph , but a steady 4mph most of the afternoon.
To date this is the best load i have found that gives great accuracy and good speed. I have achieved my Sub MOA @ 540meters. I am very pleased with the Barrel Job and porting. Hats off to the guys at Jims. Shot off the Levy for these numbers, later in the afternoon went to sherburne and let the wife shoot. It was a great day for shooting , if you dont mind a little wind.
