300 Weatherby

I am not a hunter but a friend has a brand new 300 Weatherby for a deer rifle and he was asking what is a good deer round for that rifle. Any help would be appreciated.

The 220gr bullets work well for inside of 75yds. Beyond that he might need something with a little more punch for 150lbs+ deer.

Yea, shooting a 115 lb doe, he'll have at least one back strap and a hind quarter that will be usable....
