    I have a question for u guys please help. I m a Texas chl holder . Can my uncle ( louisanna chl holder) transfer or sell his guns to me ? Do I need any paper work or anything ? Is it legal? Thanks guys by the way it is a handgun

    Transfer as in you crossing state line to purchase it, NO, has to be done through an FFL if you want to follow rules and regulations. Realistically speaking lots of people just drive there to pick it up since its a private sale, just make sure to keep you both "safe" you do a bill of sale eventhough you know ahead of time that laws called for a different procedure.

    Are you a Louisiana resident? Being CHL holder means nothing in the firearm transfer procedure. You can't purchase his guns, legally, without handling the transfer between FFLs, if one of you is an out of state resident.
